The Dodge Viper is an American sports passenger car that was presented to the general public for the first time in 1991. Its serial production took place in 1991-2017. The car was powered - depending on the version - by one of three engines with a displacement of 8.0 to 8.4 liters and a maximum power of 400 to 645 HP. Production took place in the United States in the Detroit, Michigan, metropolitan area.

The Viper model was developed and put into production by the automotive concern Chrysler Corporation, which is the owner of the Dodge brand. The car was created as a completely new model in the Dodge offer and did not have its direct successor. From the beginning, it was assumed that it would be a typical sports car with powerful engines, which would be considered a "typical American car". In total, five generations of this car were created - it is worth adding that the 1st and 2nd generations were assembled by hand by factory workers, which had a very good effect on the quality of workmanship and solidity of the entire structure. The SRT10 Coupe model accelerated from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds, and its top speed exceeded 320 km / h. The engine generated a maximum power of 600 HP. The average fuel consumption per 100 km was approx. 19-20 liters.
