The GAZ-13 Czajka was a Soviet luxury passenger car from the post-war period. The presentation of the model took place in 1958 - a year later, serial production began, which lasted until 1981. The car was powered by a single 5.5-liter 8-cylinder engine with a capacity of 195 HP. The engine was synchronized with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The plants in the city of Gorky were responsible for the production. In total, about 3,200 cars of this type were created.

The GAZ-13 Czajka was designed as a luxury limousine, guaranteeing high travel comfort and driving safety, dedicated to dignitaries from the USSR and other countries of the Eastern Bloc. The car was partially modeled on the American Packard Caribbean car. The basic version of the body was a 4-seater sedan, but a small-series 4-seater convertible also appeared. A small number of Czajek were produced as ambulances for dignitaries from the Eastern bloc countries. Without a doubt, the GAZ-13 Chaika was the most luxurious and one of the most aesthetic cars produced in the USSR. The disadvantages of the car were, first of all, high fuel consumption of approx. 40 liters per 100 km (!!!), which, with a tank capacity of 80 liters, allowed to travel just over 200 kilometers.
