Tamiya 14029 Suzuki RG 250

The Suzuki RG250 is a Japanese motorcycle that can be classified as a touring motorcycle. It was first presented to the public in 1978. Its serial production started in the same year and lasted until 1982. Production of the modified version (RG250 Gama) was carried out in 1983-1987.

The RG250 model was developed and put into production to strengthen Suzuki Motor Corporation's position in the touring motorcycle segment and to replace the GT185 model in the lineup. Compared to its predecessor, the design of the RG250 has been changed, and a new, 2-cylinder power unit with a slightly larger capacity and better dynamics of work has also been used. The RG250 model turned out to be a great market success, especially in Japan, which led to its modernization and the creation of the RG250 Gamma model. The new model was the first mass-produced motorcycle with an aluminum frame, improved performance and an improved - albeit slightly - engine.
